Director's
Commentary
It is
apparently a really painfully common problem with anybody trying
to draw comics that the artist in question has an inability to
draw hands and feet. I conform whole heartedly to this stereotype
and adhere to the belief that hands have just too many fingers.
The small panel with Dr. Doomday's fist hitting the panel supporting
the laser (yes, that's right, that odd thing I've been drawing
in the last few pages was a laser) originally looked very different,
as I had drawn the hand from the other side, which wouldn't have
made any sense whatsoever. I actually had to redraw that particular
panel and scan it in, which is something I don't think I've ever
made myself do, largely subscribing to the "oh, it doesn't
look that bad" school of thought instead.
Acknowledging
your faults I think is the first step. I think they tell you that
when you become an alcoholic (not that I'd know, of course), so
I am admitting to having a problem with hands and feet, and announcing
that I Am Going To Try And Do Something About It. At Some Point.
