Action!
Or at least a little motion! Definitely still classing this as
part of the learning curve. It's a fine line to draw in a comic
between too much action and not enough, and it's a line, like
many lines, that I find complicated to draw. I used to get the
sense from some of the marvel comics that I used to read that
the characters were just incapable of sitting still. Every single
panel had them in a dramatic pose or in action, even if they were
sitting around talking, but then, for the marvel style, this does
work quite well. In contrast to that, it's much worse if the action
looks static, or otherwise hobbled in some ways.
I've
actually been looking at printing specifications over the last
few days. One day it would be nice to have all of this printed
up in trade form, but unfortunately, most printers require 300
DPI on images, and all my originals are about 200. In laymans
terms, that means I'm screwed unless I rework all of my old pages.
I suppose in the grand scheme of things, 20 full colour pages
aren't too many...
Just
Another mistake to learn from I suppose!
